Secure Password for Indian Credit Card Holders
We here by bring your notice that RBI has made it mandatory, for all online transactions to have an extra level of authentication from August 01, 2009 onwards.
The ‘extra’ level of security is a password that the cardholder will have to enter after entering their credit/debit card details while making online payments. The Indian cards will require this password for transacting on any website. This new technology is called VBV – Verified by Visa or MSC – MasterCard Secure Code. If the cardholder failed to enter the password correctly will be resulted as a failed transaction. For further clarification please check this link: http://www.ebs.in/3dsecure.php.
